You don't have permission to access /webapp/index.php on this server.

Good evening everyone,

Today I’ve installed Wamp Server 2.5, I’ve been watchin videos on Lynda.com. I’m currently at the point where I have created a mywebapp file on the C drive with a notepad file called index.php

I’ve also created an Alias directory in the Apache server but when I try to test this in the web browser I get the following error:

You don’t have permission to access /webapp/index.php on this server.

I don’t understand what I’m doing wrong as I’ve tried time and time again to ensure it’s correct in line with the video.

Can anyone advise where I’m going wrong?

NWR

Does it happen when you use 127.0.0.1 instead of localhost?

Can you see the webapp directory if you just go to localhost?
