I’m having a problem with parsing £ entities in my XML. I’ve produced a stripped down example below which should exhibit the problem behaviour. When run it only echoes the ampersand character and the pound seems to disappear. This is under PHP 4.3.10.
Can someone explain what is going on here and more importantly how to fix it?
