Im sure the answer to this is quite easy… But I want to make it so if I make a post on my PHPBB forums in a certain topic, that It can be seen as news on the main page. (like how http://www.flatface.net has their news)

Just fetch the data from the database. The forums save their content in a table and somehow link it to a category. All you need to do is select from that table where the category is your news section and display it the way you want it.
