I’m writing a little script that will update my Facebook status via the post-by-email feature. However, I am unable to insert a newline character. All the standard stuff (/n, /r, etc) doesn’t work, and it displays html tags as plain text. Anyone know the trick?
its not /n, its \n, you’ve got the wrong slash and i don’t think facebook allows html tags to be posted and urls are probably automatically parsed. you’d have to check the documentation for what’s allowed, if any.
oops. yeah just a typo in my post. And I have reviewed the documentation from Facebook, but it is somewhat… thin.
