Hi all,
I am working for a small company that requires me to implement a shopping cart to sell the goods they manufacture etc etc. I am comfortable enough with php however I am just looking for some advice on how I should go about the shopping cart ? Can anyone recommend any open source shopping carts or is it best to implement your own framework ?

Well it would be best to implement your own, because you can tailor it to your needs, but if you are a beginner
then I would not suggest that. You will end up inviting hackers to screw up your store, and you don’t need that!!
If anything I would suggest magento, it is very secure, and I know of at least one multimillion dollar company which trusts it (ed hardy). Try it out and see what you can do with it here is a list of others, in order in which I would suggest:
