Hi,
New to the forum - I’m not looking for someone to code this for me just general help / some direction. 
I am creating a new aggregator extension for a popular CMS where multiple RSS XML feeds are to be downloaded, sorted (into their relevant news categories) via an array and then inserted into the mysql database.
It’s been awhile since I’ve done some proper coding so any pointers of where to start would be great.
PS: I am not looking code an overly complex system just a script that can be configured to run via a CRON schedule via the CMS backend.
