my website, will it work?

ok guys, heres the idea. Im trying to make a website that allows users to log in and list event details, these details will be submitted to the data base which will in turn show them on the website. So will this work? if so how should i do it?

would i have to have a different table for each day or what?

[size=10pt]also on a side note i have my login system sorted etc. but at the moment everybody logs in the same, is there a way to set it so different users get different profile pages?[/size]

everything is possible,
make a table named events , insert id , author , event description , date …etc ,
if you want to create different profiles,you can create a groups than you can add a member to a group , or create a personal groups , and some event will be seeable only for chosen group …
