Just started, but I need this now...

Beginners - Learning PHP

Hi,

I’m looking for a real simple Mail form and PHP handler to obtain some info from my website visitors.
I need “email address, Name, Address, postalcode, city, accountnumber, number of tickets”.
And when sumbit is clicked I need this info mailed to me and to direct them to “Thankyou.html”.

I had a script for only name and email, but I can’t get the extra info requests working.
The simply won’t include it in the mail.

I don’t have muych knowledge about programming, so I really need a working code.
I can intergrade it into a simple html page myself, but that’s about the scope of my abillities.

Who can helP? Would be very much appreciated.

Well, normally, you show us code where you are having issues and we explain a solution…

Maybe they will help… Otherwise, show us some code where it is failing for you…

I have no code, that’s the whole point…
And these tutorials don’t help. I would need to study these for weeks before I get anywhere.
Unfortunately I don’t have the time for that.
Working my ass off as it is…
So I was just looking for some help in the form of an easy form that would do what I need.

Well, I don’t want to do your classwork for you, but, if you read the two short tutorials I gave you, you will
see how to do a form and then add the data to send in an email. It is simple, just read those pages… Press
the Next-Chapter links for more info. there are thousands of tutorials and sample codes for contact pages.
The code is simple. 99% of it is in the sample code in those links I showed you. Once you get something
coded, show it here and we will help you get it working! Good luck!

Yeah, this really sounds like a beginner web programming assignment. What do you care what the page that is that they get directed to or how you even get the information if it is actually for you? And I really like the “I had a script that got this, but I don’t know how to get that” addition.

Read your book. I bet it explains it to you.

First procrastination is a downfall for many, I know when I was young I used to do it. You never learn anything if you have someone else do it for you, for that is how you learn by getting your hands dirty (specially with coding). I think if someone here who knows php did it for you, the instructor would be able to tell for most advanced programmers know subtle tricks when it comes to coding to save them time and they comment the code in the correct spots (or actually write comments :D).

If you ever come back - the problem was you weren’t asking for help - you were asking for someone to work for you for free. Either get your hands dirty and give it an honest attempt, or pay someone if you can’t be bothered working with it. Why should I do your work if you can’t be bothered to?

Post us some code of your attempt to get it working and all of us will help you fix it up!

Dude really? I have come here for help and have gotten help. Expecting someone to do your work for you then getting mad because they won’t…

Post something so they can at least see your trying… this is a forum for people trying to learn…

  1. You can hire someone to do it for you
    or
  2. Go out and look on the internet there are a ton of examples you can use that are already done…

But coming here and insulting people is not the way to go…
