I installed xampp to act as a server so that I can see my website locally on my computers. Home page for a photo catalog is index.php. The code worked on my xp computer. I cannot get it to work on my new computer using windows 7 pro.
I tested the xampp install with a file index.php (hello I am working). Still cannot figure out how to get photo library index.php to work.
Is this enough information to have a suggestion on what is different on the two computers?

If you did not install into drive c:\ or what ever your local drive letter is then uninstall and reinstall to drive c:\ that way xampp will be installed c:\xampp or your drive letter.
xampp needs to know where its files are at.
windows 7 because of the UAC can keep xampp
from working.

Thanks for your suggestions! I have determined that my install of xampp is okay. I did install it on my C drive (local drive). I made a test index.php file and it worked. It is the code of my index.php file that has an error. Unfortunately, I have no way to tell where the error is. The index.php file worked on windows xp, however does not on windows 7 pro.
Try postin the file here and we can check it.
should I send the file straightforward or as an attachment? it has 1500 lines of code, rather long?
