howto split one pdf A3 page into two A4 pages??

I mean, I need php script which will recieve pdf file. This pdf file consists of one page(for example A3, A2, A1, A0 format). This script should split this page into several pages of A4 format (One page of A3 format should be transformed into two pages of A4 format). I need this to print any page (A3, A2, A1, A0 format) using my printer(A4 format) and after it to paste together all A4 pages using glue. At the end I’m going to get whole page of any format…

My guess would be “no.” That is what the “shrink oversized pages to paper size” and “expand small pages to paper size” check marks are for on the print window in Acrobat are for.
