How to copy PHP scripts?

I have been searching for a free PHP auction script (other than PHPauction) and have ran across, mainly, clone scripts of other websites. Since I have not found any decent free scripts, I am curious to know how people are able to copy scripts or clone scripts (which they are selling). I would like to either copy/clone a script, find a free auction script that does not need timely bug fixes or ones that will cost, or help on how to create one myself.

Please comment if you know what software or techniques people are using to copy scripts or clone scripts. Any help on where to locate or how to write n auction script would also be appreciated. ;)[/font][/size]

There is a great website that I go to to get scripts and ideas for my own applications (it’s great to view others work to get ideas for your own). The site is called Hot Scripts. They have everything you are looking for: some free and some cost. It’s great for all programming languages. I took a look and came up with their PHP auction directory: http://www.hotscripts.com/category/scripts/php/scripts-programs/auctions/. Just redefine your search and it does the rest. This should get you started.
