How do I insert data from 2 different pages?

How can i insert data from 2 php files. in the first file i insert 4 colums, in the second i need to insert 2 colums extra. But it is making a new id everytime I try. Can someone helpme out, or give me suggestions?

so you want to make an UPDATE instead of an INSERT then?

yes, but I have already inserted 4 columns, and the other 2 are not filled. I need them to be filled in the same id.

then UPDATE the columns, not INSERT

I tried to do update but i want it to update a specific ID how do I do that?
