I’m not a programmer, and could do with some help in getting my web site up and running. I can up load the php script, but cannot get it to run because I??™m not sure how to connect the SQL database.

Have a look at http://us.php.net/manual/en/function.mysql-connect.php as it provides good information on how to do this with an example.
Thank you very much for the advise, i have copy/paste & printed out the info and am going to have to sit and read and if possible digest all this. will let you know how i get on.
