I’m trying to create a bandend page for a food truck website, their menu changes daily and they need a way to update it. I’m trying to avoid using a database just to keep things simple. I made a page where they type in what they want the menu to say and then I’ve been trying to create a way for that to generate an html document that could be displayed on the page in iframes. However, I’ve run into nothing but problems trying to rewrite the file. Here are two different approaches I’ve tried:
<?php $myFile = "menuleft.html"; $fh = fopen($myFile, 'w') or die("can't open file"); $html_begin = "

<?php $menu_text = $_POST['updateright']; $html_begin = "
I’m using go daddy hosting, and I know there must be some kind of permissions that I need to turn on or off in an ini file but I can’t figure out which ones, everything I need seems to be on. I’m not married to any of these methods, and I’m open to any suggestions please, I’ve been stuck on this for a long time now and can’t seem to get anywhere with it.
