error 1045 Cannot log in to the MySQL server

Hi

I have install phpmyadmin and mysql on windows 7.

However, i was getting the following error while trying to login from phpmyadmin
#1045 Cannot log in to the MySQL server

Would appreciate if anyone can help

Did you install xampp ?

install xampp or wamp, then check ur connection strings. servername first, usersname and lastly password
