Broken PHP link PLEASE HELP MEEEE!!

Hello, thank you in advance for anyone that replies. This seems like a simply solution but i am a…N3WB. :’(

Just until about a week ago, i could send someone this link: www.bellefit.com/corset and it would redirect them to www.bellefit.com/corset.php

There was no need to type .php at the end of the link.

Now if you try www.bellefit.com/corset it “404 Not Found” >:(

Check if you have corresponding redirect (or url rewrite rule) in your .htaccess file. Apparently you overwrote or deleted this file.

ok, i checked that. this is what is says:

RewriteEngine On
RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} !^www.bellefit.com$
RewriteRule (.*) http://www.bellefit.com/$1 [R=301,L]

Add these lines below the code what you already have there:

RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f RewriteRule ^([^/\.]+)$ /$1.php [L]

ok, thanks for your help!

is this what its supposed to look like?

I tried it and the whole website went down. “Internal Server Error” it said.

!-d and !-f should be at the end of lines 4 and 5 respectively and not in the beginning

ok, this is what i tried as per you recommendation:

http://www.bellefit.com/images/php2.gif

result: website went down and displayed “Internal Server Error”

thanks for the feedback. i tried what you specified:

Site went down “Internal Server error”

Ok as I mentioned, i am a n3wb thanks for your patience. :-*

this is what the code looks like now, no more “Internal Server Error” and the site functions

However, I still cant access pages by doing www.bellefit.com/corset

The only way to access them is placing “.php” extention at the end. :’(

NO LOVE NO SOLUTION DEAD DOG.

It works for me when I just got to: www.bellefit.com/corset (without the .php)

Is url rewriting ON on your server?
