Advice on upcoming project

Hi Happy New Years Peeps… I will be getting something by Monday. The Video Script I am leaning towards is PHP Melody. The Crowdfunding Scripts that I am leaning towards are either http://www.fundraisingscript.com/donation-crowdfunding-script.php or https://www.agriya.com/products/donation-script.

I am sure I will be asking a few questions about tying everything together. I will be using PHPbb for my message boards for my web platform.

Does anyone have any advice about the above crowdfunding script?

I did not see my kids for nearly 7 years and have them full time now. I am creating a web platform to help parents fighting to see their kids.

Thanks,
Robert

Unless it’s one of the most used scripts out there you’re unlikely to come over someone who has used the script / has any advise. As long as the code is somewhat modern and properly written it’s probably fine. I’d say it’s a warning flag if it does not use composer. It’s also preferable if there is some kind of plugin system (with a community) working with it. I’m quite sure you can get a kickstarter style crowdfunding plugin for wordpress/etc which may compete with this.

Hi Thanks for the reply.

I ruled out Agriya as to many bad reviews. I will continue researching the other script. Wordpress has some plugins for crowdfunding so I will look at this as well. PHP Melody is open source so I guess this means I can connect WordPress parts as well. I have not programmed in many years. I was doing AS400 COBOL and RPG for banks but this was 16 years ago. I did work on some PHP scripts 6 years ago for a hobby.

One more thing i will decide is if I should go with PHP Melody or maybe some video sharing plugins in WordPress.

Open Source has nothing to do with compatibility, just that it is not being developed by a single entity.

What are you trying to get out of the plugin?

Thanks,

I am going to use PHP Melody connected with PHPBB or MYBB. I want to use this script to setup a crowdfunding part of the website. https://www.phpjabbers.com/fundraising-script/

Thanks,

Robert

Not what I asked, but whatever.
