Very puzzling, you’re sure the 2 queries are 100% identical, every letter every space all punctuation etc… And there’s no other code that is altering the selected database?
In account.php put in a query for “SELECT * FROM users” count the number of rows and echo count

Sorry for the late reply but I have had a manic schedule this week and unable to test any code. However I turned my PC on today, removed all the debugging and inserted the old header which you suggested and it is now WORKING. I can’t believe it.
