Server down

Tonight at some point (around 1600 hours Eastern Time) the server for this forum (and other sites) went down. The outage was due to a power supply failure. Unfortunately, my server does not have a redundant power supply.

I did, however, have a spare Power supply and got it back up as soon as I could.

I am sorry if this caused anyone any inconvenience.

Just thought I would let you know that I am getting this when I click to view all the boards ->

phpBB : Critical Error

Error clearing sessions table

DEBUG MODE

SQL Error : 1034 Incorrect key file for table: ‘phpbb2_sessions’; try to repair it

DELETE FROM phpbb2_sessions WHERE session_time < 1186762597 AND session_id <> ‘c8e1122f7c8bdec76a582a50f924f45f’

Line : 302
File : /var/www/html/phphelp/forums/includes/sessions.php

I just simply hit refresh and when it comes up. Nothing serious, just kinda annoying and might scare off anyone trying to use the site, unless I am the only one that this is happening to.

Try it now.

I did get that once too, after a refresh it went away.

I did clear the sessions table.

Things seem to be back in good order!

thx

Now we had another problem… (ugh!)

We had power problems in my area that resulted in an extended brown out which outlasted my UPS. Caused another shut down.

I believe this caused a corruption in the “Sessions” table which I have now (obviously) fixed.

I hope this will be the last of that.

Any way… happy chatting!
